No matter how white a person’s teeth are, they always feel that they could be even whiter. So when it comes to suggesting methods and tips to whiten the teeth, the answers have to depend on the condition of the teeth and to what degree of whiteness would you be happy with. So let’s deal with the desired results in stages. Stage 1:In this stage we will assume that you have really nice white teeth according to others. You yourself are not quite happy with them, and really believe they could be whiter. So what steps do you take to achieve this?a) To begin with, if you haven’t had a good teeth cleaning professionally done at your Dentists, then now is the time to do it. Teeth that need cleaning are not the same as teeth that need whitening. In fact you can look at teeth cleaning as being sort of a preventative to having to whiten your teeth. Cleaning basically removes the debris that if left long enough will stain your teeth. They are not as difficult to remove as the stains, but not easily removed with regular brushing. b) Chances are you will be able to use one of the whitening toothpastes or mouthwashes, after your cleaning. These products are promoted as being able to whiten the teeth by one to two degrees. If you already have white teeth to begin with, then one or two degrees would be plenty enough to give you a dazzling smile. Stage 2:At this point the solutions for stage 1 would give you some positive results but probably not enough to satisfy you. Your teeth have reached the staged where they have yellowed with the staining and it’s going to be a little more difficult to correct. You would also start with a good professional cleaning. a) It would probably be your best bet to buy one of the fairly strong in peroxide products on the market to use as a treatment. It may be advisable to go with either the tray or strip program. With the tray it is a rigid form that adheres and holds the whitening solution to the teeth. With the strip you are able to form it more to the contour of your teeth as it is more pliable. You have to watch the whitening agent doesn’t seep out as it could irritate your mouth and gums. Also if you have sensitive teeth or any gum problems these are probably not the best methods for you to use… in that case you would…b) Use one of the gels or paste whitening products. These are not quite as strong as the previous ones, but are very effective. As a last resort of the whitening products, you could use the paint on types. With these however, the saliva will weaken the products. Stage 3:This stage is most probably going to require a professional whitening. Your dentist will determine the most effective treatment.
