If not, after 2 weeks, contact the Bank that issued the credit card, and WRITE to them explaining you TRIED to settle the problem with the merchant. INCLUDE in the letter to the bank the letter you sent to the merchant. The bank will then give you a PROVISIONAL credit to your card and ask the merchant to PROVE the money is still owed.
